Breaking: President Tinubu gives Super Eagles MON national award in Abuja
In the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which was organized by the Côte d’Ivoire, the Super Eagles of Nigeria came in as the first runner-up on the night of Sunday, 11th February, 2024.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu On Tuesday, gave the Super Eagles of Nigeria a piece of land and a national accolade as the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON), together with apartments in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The pronouncement was made by President Tinubu during his meeting with Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) officials and players at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja which was led by Senator John Owan Enoh, the Minister of Sports and youth.
The entire team dressed in green, as well as officials. Among them was Alex Iwobi who had receive several on the media after Nigeria’s defeat by Cote d’Ivoire in the African Cup of Nations final.
