Works Minister Hails Kogi Governor, Lauds Concrete Technology As Solution To Lasting Construction
The Minister for Works, Sen Dave Umahi has applauded Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo for his commitment to the development of the state.
The commendation came in during a meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday.
The minister, who used the opportunity to highlight the significant role of concrete technology in addressing road and other infrastructure challenges in the country, attributed the encouragement to the innovation to the Renewed Hope administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Sen Umahi said concrete technology is important to road projects due to the unique soil characteristics in certain regions of the country, noting that the country’s energy efficiency, low maintenance, and durability advantages of concrete pavement especially in regulating temperature variations, makes it appropriate for Nigerian infrastructure projects.
The Minister commended Governor Ododo for his leadership approach and urged him to focus on legacy projects that would benefit future generations and pledged support from the Federal Ministry of Works.
While revealing President Tinubu’s approval of a significant concrete road project along the Abuja-Lokoja road, he expressed optimism that the project would see the light of day.
Speaking, Governor Ododo expressed gratitude for the Minister’s guidance and promised to uphold the trust placed in him by the people of Kogi State.
The Governor acknowledged the importance of learning from experienced leaders, expressed his commitment towards implementing innovative solutions for the state’s development.
