KGSG Establishes Additional Ministry, Appoints 2 New Commissioners, Others
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has approved the creation of a new ministry named “Ministry of Innovation Science & Technology.”
This was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs Folashade Arike Ayoade on Thursday in Lokoja, the state capital.
According to the statement, Governor Ododo also appointed two new commissioners, Dr. Adeniyi Helen Aderibigbe to head the new ministry, while Mr. Atuluku Victor Levi would serve as the Commissioner for the Ministry of Transportation.
The statement reads: “In furtherance to the establishment of the new ministry, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has approved the appointment of Dr. Adeniyi Helen Aderibigbe as Commissioner-designate of the newly created ministry.”
“The Governor has also approved the appointment of Mr. Atuluku Levi Victor as the Commissioner designate of the Ministry of Transportation.”
Furthermore, the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology will now be referred to as the Ministry of Education.
Other appointments include Aishat Oyiza Omade as Director-General of the Kogi State Social Investment Program Agency, Afolabi Joseph Raji as Chairman of the Kogi State Scholarship Board, Engr. Yunusa Aminu Alhassan as Managing Director of the Kogi State Road Maintenance Agency (KOGROMA), and Barr. Moses Okezie Okafor as Director-General of Research & Development.
Also appointed are Paul Peter Jibrin as Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Science, Technical Education and Teaching Service Commission (STETSCOM), Aminu Abdulrazak as Managing Director of the Kogi State Traffic Management Agency (KOTRAMA), Ahovi Salami Ibrahim as Manager Director of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA), and Bello Salim Ogirima George as Managing Director of the Agricultural Development Project (ADP).
The appointments take immediate effect according to the message issued by the SSG.
