Alleged Palliative Diversion: Gov Ododo Sacks Ofu LG Caretaker Chairman
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has approved the immediate sack of the Caretaker Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area, Hon. Hassan Atawodi over issues concerning the alleged diversion of palliatives meant for the Local Government Area.
A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Folashade Ayoade Arike revealed that the Governor has also approved the immediate appointment of Musa Muhammed Lawal as the Transition Chairman of the Local Government Area.
Hillcrest TV News reliably gathered that the Governor who has given strict warnings against hoarding or preferential treatment in the distribution of the palliatives was poised to ensure all citizens have equal access to the items.
In light of the above, Hon. Hassan Atawodi was directed to submit all Government property in his possession to the new Transition Chairman.
The statement also reiterated Governor Ododo’s zero tolerance for official manipulations and corruption, adding that the precedence of probity, accountability, fairness and transparency established by the previous administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello would not be derailed.
