Grammy: Tyla Wins the Grammy Category Over Davido, Burna Boy, and others
Tyla of South Africa has won the 66th Grammy Awards in the Best African Music Performance category.
Tyla defeated a group of Nigerian musicians that included Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, and Ayra Starr. Tyla triumphed with the hit song “Water.”
With the publication of her 2023 single “Water,” which peaked at number 10 in sixteen countries, including the US and the UK, Tyla became well-known throughout the world.
Tyla wins a Grammy Award, making her the eleventh South African to emerge as the winner.
