Grammy 2024: Davido and Ayra Starr congratulate Tyla, a South African, on winning the Grammy
Singers Davido and Ayra Starr, who are also nominated for Grammys, congratulated their South African colleague Tyla on winning the Best African Music Performance Grammy in 2024.
The pair sent their best wishes on their own X accounts.
“Congratulations on your win, A big win for Africa. Continue to rise @Tyllaaaaaaa!” Davido wrote on his wall.
“Congratulations to my babesssss @Tyllaaaaaaa,” wrote by Ayra Starr on social media.
According to a report from Hillcrest TV, the female rapper and singer won her first Grammy prize by defeating Nigerian performers including Burna Boy, Ahmed Ololade, called Asake, and David Adeleke, aka Davido.
On Sunday, February 4, 2024, Tyla won with her entry, “Water.”
The prize of the Grammy Award Premiere Ceremony was presented at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles.
